With more than 20 years of recruiting experience, Beverly Vandegrift is founder and president of the Grindstone Group, a professional recruitment and consulting firm for high-technology companies.

Formed in 1995, the Grindstone Group provides services across all organizational levels from C-level executives and presidents to vice presidents of sales and marketing, development managers and sales professionals. In addition to recruiting, Beverly's consulting services have included designing and implementing corporate recruiting infrastructure for high-growth, early-stage technology companies, including Vignette.

Prior to moving to Austin, Beverly provided recruiting services to Boston technology companies, filling key positions within Lotus Development, Internet pioneer BBN, and Fidelity Management's IT group.

She also worked as a professional recruiter in Houston, serving the financial services and oil and gas industries. Her clients included such industry giants as Exxon, Texaco, Pennzoil, and Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb.

Beverly's recruiting career began while attending the University of Michigan where she directed the University's highly regarded Undergraduate Summer Intern Program in Washington, D.C., placing more than 100 undergraduates in positions in The White House, Congressional offices, publishing companies, public interest groups, and federal agencies.
